Get to know Bukhara gradually: first understand the Old Town, then choose museums and excursions beyond it. There is no need to start with the maximum possible number of tickets and stops.
Lyabi-Hauz, the trading domes and Poi Kalyan make useful reference points. Leave time between them for lanes, tea and façade details. Give the Ark its own museum visit rather than rushing inside just before closing.
One day provides an introduction; two nights allow a gentler pace and room for Sitorai Mokhi Khosa or more museum time. This is planning advice, not a fixed programme. Do not count arrival day as a full sightseeing day until you know check-in and transfer times.
Save the actual entrance to your accommodation, your walking stops and the return route. Ask where a vehicle can drop you off. Separate transport, admission, meals and shopping in your budget. A clear but flexible plan is the best starting point for an independent visit.
