Tashkent after dark: an easy evening walk

Tashkent Places and walks
Lake, promenade and modern towers in Tashkent City Park
After a busy sightseeing day, choose one pleasant place for the evening rather than starting another ambitious checklist. A short walk and an unhurried dinner can reveal a different rhythm of Tashkent.
The classic centre
Explore Amir Temur Square with the recognisable Hotel Uzbekistan and the Palace of International Forums nearby. Take a few photographs as the light changes, then leave time simply to sit and look around.
A contemporary skyline
Tashkent City Park offers a different setting: a lake, walking paths and tall buildings. Treat it as a relaxed end to the day. Check current arrangements before planning around a fountain show; schedules and events can change.
Choose your evening’s priority
For photography, arrive before dusk to see the transition in light. For rest, shorten the walk and plan dinner nearby. When travelling with children, an easy return to the hotel may matter more than one extra stop.
Plan the journey back
Save your hotel’s address, charge your phone and agree a meeting point with companions. Bring an extra layer when the weather is cool.
My daytime tour includes the modern city. If evening views are a priority, let us discuss the start time and programme in advance. Contact your guide →
Choose one evening area
After a full day, stay around Amir Temur Square and its neighbouring streets, or make a separate trip to Tashkent City Park. You do not need to connect both areas on foot. One location, a tea break and time for photographs can make a satisfying evening. If fountains or a particular event matter to you, check that day’s operating schedule. We agree the tour’s finishing time in advance; an evening walk can be your independent continuation.
