Two days in Bukhara mean you need not choose between every monument and a pot of tea. Separate the main Old Town walk from a quieter day of museums or a palace visit.
Day one: understand the centre
Connect Lyabi-Hauz, the trading domes, the facing madrasahs and Poi Kalyan. Enter only the paid spaces that interest you. In the evening, return to a favourite area without a checklist to enjoy different light and atmosphere.
Day two: choose a direction
One option combines the Ark, Bolo Hauz and the Samanid Mausoleum with breaks. Another pairs Sitorai Mokhi Khosa with a shorter Chor Minor outing after returning. Neither plan needs to become compulsory: even short distances can produce museum fatigue.
Keep the schedule flexible
Move your main museum visit if you arrive late. For an afternoon departure, arrange luggage storage and transport first. Reserve hot midday hours for meals and rest. A simple morning photography walk may be more rewarding than one extra paid interior at the end of an exhausting day.
