For one day in Bukhara, choose a coherent walk and one substantial museum visit. This approach avoids repeatedly retracing the same streets.
Begin with the walking quarter
Start at Lyabi-Hauz, look around the pool and continue towards the trading domes. Pause at the facing Ulugh Beg and Abdulaziz Khan madrasahs. Leave heavy souvenir purchases until later so that you can enjoy walking comfortably.
Make room for the main ensemble
Give Poi Kalyan its own time. Choose interiors according to interest and access rather than expecting to enter every building. Schedule lunch as a proper break, particularly in hot weather.
Finish with a deliberate choice
If time and energy remain, visit the Ark. Bolo Hauz can be a brief exterior stop; Chor Minor and the country palace can wait for another day. Collect shopping and luggage afterwards. Check your departure station and transfer time in advance. This is a suggested independent itinerary, not a Bukhara tour sold by Sait Ablaev.
