An independent Samarkand budget consists of several separate costs. A single quoted “sightseeing day price” is not very useful unless you know exactly what it includes.
Separate the main items
Start with return train tickets and local transfers. List each paid attraction by name, visitor category and current official tariff. Add meals, water, shopping and optional experiences separately. Do not assume a special viewpoint or evening programme is included in standard admission.
Ask a precise ticket question
Include your visitor category, children’s ages and visit date when asking about prices. Check re-entry and the spaces covered. Use the Registan’s official ticket service and current museum notices rather than treating an old article as a guaranteed tariff.
Save through better planning
Fewer paid attractions with more time inside each can be more rewarding than a long checklist. Group nearby sights into one walk and leave shopping until its end. Keep a reserve for an unexpected transfer; it is more useful than a budget calculated down to the final som.
